Ferry Search Toll Climbs to 66

Sixteen days after the ferry capsized, Basarnas says dozens more bodies have been found and dozens are still missing.

The death toll from the ferry disaster has risen to 66, Indonesia's search and rescue agency Basarnas said, as crews entered the 16th day of searching for survivors. Basarnas figures show 108 people have been rescued alive, while 69 are still listed as missing.

That leaves well over 200 people caught up in one of the country's worst maritime accidents in years, more than two weeks after the vessel went down. With each day narrowing the odds of finding survivors, the mounting toll is a grim reminder of how much remains unresolved for families still waiting for news. (first covered Sep 17)

Nearly 20 years after its failed 'Project Impact' push, the retailer is betting on style again.

Walmart is consolidating its merchant teams, merging its fashion, home and beauty businesses into one operation, according to Retail Dive. It's a callback to the retailer's earlier 'Project Impact' initiative, which tried building Walmart into a fashion destination and, by its own admission, fell short.

Almost 20 years on, Walmart is having another go — this time treating fashion, home and beauty as one connected bet rather than three separate categories. Combining the teams suggests the retailer wants a single, style-driven strategy that can move faster across all three, at a moment when big-box chains are fighting hard for apparel dollars.
